This course produces early childhood education professionals. Students should obtain the certification of kindergarten and elementary teaching.
The education we provide gives students abilities to function as educators and the insights into various kinds of issues related to young children. For the purpose of getting acquisition of practical end effective skills of education, we provide students with many opportunities of practical studies. Students have an observation training through a semester at our attached kindergarten. They also visit some other child care centres known for their distinctive education plans.
The issues of early childhood our program deals are: social, cultural and political environments for child-rearing within families, communities and society; the transition from early to statutory education; culture of children such as books, toys, nursery rhymes and songs.
Our students are advised to take part in extracurricular activities, working as volunteers at our attached kindergarten and at the Library for Children in the University Library. Such active involvement helps our students to learn about practices and theories of early childhood education and practical skills in communicating with children.
