Human Social Studies
Course Description

Today "symbiosis" or "coexistence" is a vital concept in every facet of our society. Students in our course explore the ideal model of "symbiotic community," a most pressing task we now have to undertake, by organically linking two fields of study: social science that comprises law, economics and sociology, and human life science which is instrumental in the realization of an environment-friendly and humanity-oriented community. Students can readily improve their communicative skills in foreign languages and deepen their multicultural understanding, helped by the Cultural Studies Course. Junior students decide on their theme of research of their choice from among three areas, law, economics, and human life science, and prepare for graduation thesis writing. Graduates go on to a broad range of careers including retailers, distributors, finance, publishing, journalism and broadcasting, and governmental, both centrally and locally, public services. Those who wish to enter the teaching profession can obtain a 1st class teacher's certificate for high school commerce education by earning required credits.
