Course Description
Our curriculum mainly offers the following
areas of studies.
| 1. |
English Linguistics: To study the structure of English
and the relationship between the language and society. |

| 2. |
English and American Literature: To enhance English
language ability and gain a deeper insight into humanity
through reading and studying literary works. |
| 3. |
Communication in English: To acquire a good command
of English by improving such practical skills as listening,
speaking and writing. |
| 4. |
Understanding of Foreign Cultures: To
study English and American cultures, and do some comparative
studies between them and Japanese culture. |
| 5. |
English Education: To study the English
language acquisition mechanism and learn effective English
teaching methods. |
Students work on these studies in conjunction with both Japanese
teachers and native speakers of English. In their final year
they are to do research in one of the above-mentioned areas
of their choice. Our full-time faculty, comprised of six members,
provide students with detailed and careful instructions.
